Internal error while creating DMM object

I've been trying to do a high tet count simulation on an inbuilt plugin for maya 2012, when I try to simulate I get an error saying "Internal error while creating DMM object" and then "DMM: tetrahedral mesh topology has changed during simulation for object at index1". Is there a way to solve this issue as I am trying to work to a deadline

I have similar issue. Its caused, because I got the "disable" attribute of the DMM object animated. The question is: If I simply use passive region, does this heavy DMM object still gets calculated and slows down the sim?

When you make the region passive, it is set to be "driven" within DMM, so simulation is not done on it. Collision is still done though.
