// Error: DMM: inconsistent data, not enough simulated tetrahedra for outputSurface

Everytime I try to create a density region I get this message.

// Error: DMM: inconsistent data, not enough simulated tetrahedra for outputSurface

It doesn't matter if the object is a dmm primitive, created from a mesh, or an autocage.

Please someone explain what is going on... I would consider buying this plug-in if I could get this feature to work properly.

I'm getting the same error. I wonder if it is because the included version with Maya 2012 is limited to 1500 Live DMM tets at once? <per the plugin license info under DMM Help

I have the full version of it and some times I was able to simulate up to 58585 Tet meshes. The fact that you don't have the full version might have something with that error.

If you go to DMM Scene > DMM Assets List? how many tets do you have before adding the density region?

in the DMMScene menu disable "Enable DMM Cache" and/or reset your simulation to the beginning of your timeline. I get this error when I add or remove tets. so by adding your density region you are effectively changing the parameters of your sim. you wont be able to do anything with density regions and teh trial maya version apart from visualize the density region.

    good luck
