hi i am able to create dmm obj then passive region, and glue region. but when come to density... i have no idea how to get it work?
select dmm obj and another poly box then attach density box... this doesnt work for me![]()

Me too. Is there any solution/workaround?
This works fine. Though it is a little tricky. When you create a density region, it is always created as a poly object (which is automatically selected) in the same location as your original DMM object. You can scale and translate it and adjust the density by entering numbers in the "extra attributes box". To further elaborate, we've posted a short video showing you how to do this. You can watch it here:
DMM Density Region Creation
I'm able to use the density object, but what happens once that section of the model leaves the density region due to a force, etc. will it still keep its density? (i.e. can the density change in real-time, or just when you set the scale in the extra parameters?)!
thanks.
Thing is, denisty region really doesn't work on DMM objects made from poly mesh. By "doesnt work", I mean, u see this annoying hole in the mesh, which also renders as a hole (despite the talk about "its just GPU caused problem"). And creating DMM with autocage for anything "important in the scene" is not the way I see myself working![]()
Dont get me wrong, I really like DMM, but this is annoying to work with (maya 2012, hotfix4...havent tried it on Maya2013, but I hear there are stability issues there :/) and I DO hope for fixes
