Please grab the max 2010 (2mb) file to test problem.

Play or cache the basic sim here. I cannot seem to prevent the cube from interpenetration with the thin 'slab' object directly under it.
They do not collide accurately unless the slab is changed to DmmPassive.
Any thoughts how to fix this?

The breakable cube tetras keep slowly sinking through, like a quicksand. As weight or gravity is pushing on them.
Increasing mesh faces and substeps does not appear to remove the interpenetration problem.
