I first tried to get a ball to fall and bounce on the floor. It' worked quite nicely. The material has a Young Modulus of 100,000 and a density of 400. All the others main parameters were set to 0 except for the friction which is set to 0.8.
Then I thought "hey, what about lots and lots of balls falling and bouncing??!!!"
I duplicated my original ball many times and got this video
