That is extremely impressive. I like how you made the material adjustment on the second animation to make the glass bow out without breaking.
Did you use splinters or a very dense mesh?

i use a splinter shape ( generated using the brokeglass partern ) to get those circular cracks . I must say the way splinters are working just fascinate me .
But that's not enough even with a detailed splinter , your shattered pieces are still driven by the simulated tets .
Look at the videos
same dynamic parameters .. just a simulated mesh density difference .
lowMesh is about 1000 tets .
hiMesh is about 8000 tets .
you can see that the low one is behaving ruffly , with big plate/plane of glass .
where in the high one at the end every pieces is almost separated ( like you'll expect glass to behave )
