Meshes slowly sink through each other

Any object with almost no movement starts slowly sinking into the object below it. It doesn't get less with more sub steps. How can I fix this?

Using Maya 2014 on Windows 7.

check your scene scale and relative weight of objects. Scene scale of .01 matches maya units of cm but ive found that .1 or .5 scene scale works best. Then when you have your object selected check its weight in the dmm editor.

make sure objects have the right weight and also that everything is zeroed out (except rotations) before you convert the mesh to a DMM tet object.

    good luck!
