    Multiple DMM scenes.

    Hello All,

    i'm trying to setup several dmm scenes in the same maya scene (!).

    So i've started with two scenes, and when trying to save the cache (through DMMscene-->save Cached animation), i get this :

    // animsave command executed
    // Error: DMM: object count mismatch: cache says 3, but attributes say 2 //
    // Error: line 1: DMM: Animation saving failed, see Script Editor for details //

    I went one step at a time.
    First DMMscene with 1 active object constrained with a DMM passive region and a passive keyed collider.
    Then activated DMM cache with default path (blank Cache Pathname).
    Then saved the cached animation.

    Disabled First DMMscene

    Second DMMscene with 1 active object constrained with a DMM passive region and a passive keyed collider.
    Then activated DMM cache with default path.
    Then saved the cached animation.
    Then :
    // animsave command executed
    // Error: DMM: object count mismatch: cache says 3, but attributes say 2 //
    // Error: line 1: DMM: Animation saving failed, see Script Editor for details //


    Wat did i do wrong ?
    Are they rules to be followed in order to get it to work ?

    Sometimes the second DMMscene doesn"t even cache correctly, saying that the geometry couldn't be added to the cache.
    This happens when using 'creating DMM from polymesh' on a polycube (killed history of course )

    Is there a reason why your using the native DMM cache format instead of Alembic? Because they are two separate sims and incapable of interacting (separate DMM scenes) why not make two scene files?

    I know this doesn't answer your question just options to help it work...

    Yep indeed i definitely will work with several maya scenes.

    The main reason i wanted to set up different DMMScenes was to be able to iterate quickly.
    I'm working on a 'big' destruction where i don't need interaction everywhere, so i thought that simulate one part, being happy with that, and simulate another part with another solver while still seeing the first one would help.

    So Alembic cache will be my visual feedback
    Just a bit slower for iteration, but ok.
