    Multiple Versions of Maya

Iím currently working across projects which are locked to different versions of Maya.

Is it possible to install DMM for each Maya version onto the same computer without conflict?

If so will this require just one license?

    Current installs are:
    Windows 7 64bit
    Maya 2008 (32 & 64 bit)
    Maya 2010 (32 & 64 bit)

    Hi Breaker!
You only need one DMM license for all your Maya versions. It is very simple: when you install the plug-in it will detect which Maya versions you have on your computer and will install the corresponding version of the DMM plug-in automatically.

Thanks Clem, however just to clarify if I have 2 different versions of Maya installed (in my case Maya 2008 & 2010) which I use daily, is it possible to have both versions work with DMM at the same time? Essentially does it install the plug-in for both 2008 & 2010 or does it just pick the latest Maya version and install for that?

    Re: Multiple Versions of Maya

I can post a response to my own question.

The install will make an instance for each version of Maya you have installed and the license seems happy to permit multiple instances simultaneously e.g. both Maya 2008 & Maya 2010 versions of DMM can be used at the same time.

    Re: Multiple Versions of Maya

    Hi Breaker,
The license is on a per computer basis, so you can use as many versions of Maya as you want with the same DMM license. You can also have different versions of Windows running on your computer. As long as it's the same hardware it will work with the same license.
    Happy destructions!
    Getting the plugin ready!
