This video was created by one of our engineers, Marco. I have composed it into a short movie to show how DMM can be used to create a completely different effect with only a few adjustments. In this test, you can see how a cube object breaks when it is made of glass and then how it breaks when turned into jelly.
It's quite nice to see how the jelly cube deforms during the fall!

I love how glass makes a intricate shattering noise, and jelly just kinda thuds.

Hmm... would it be hard to turn the building that the box is on into class and breaking that ???
It wouldn't be hard. You would basically tessellate the entire building and break it. If you look at the Tanks video, there is a building that crumbles near the beginning.
You do have to be careful about scale though. There are reasons that buildings aren't made of glass, the cumulative weight can cause the foundation to crack and then you get a rapidly crumbling mess.

Here's another example of what could happen if the top is too heavy to be supported. I did this in 15 minutes and was able to get it to run in real-time with our middleware.
