Magnetism
I recently read a nice paper about implementing magnetism into rigid body simulations and I guess FEM based simulations(including DMM) would make a nice base for a system like the one showed in that paper.
Just my general idea I got no idea how feasable writing something like that would be but would be a nice feature.

Re: Magnetism
That is interesting. We will look at that.
The paper focusses on rigid bodies for their approach. Making breakable objects magnetic raises some interesting issues regarding polarity.

Re: Magnetism
Well if you would actually give a certain polarity to one simulated tetrahedron (or applying a grid to one tetrahedron - depends on desired resolution) should allow to simulate even breakable magnetic objects shouldn't it? (Even though I've read quite much about physics simulations and got some knowledge of the basic concept I still got absolutely no idea about such an implementation)
