I have made breakable thing and now I want to bake it in vertices.

I already tried to export "outputSurface" as obj sequence, but vertex count changes when break happens. Then I tried to export "outputTetSurface", where poly count remains same all the time, but vertex count still changes. Can I export out a mesh where all the pieces are already separated from beginning to end?

There is a script called "DMM Baker" that you can get here: http://www.creativecrash.com/maya/downloads/scripts-plugins/c/dmm-baker

The fact that the vertex count changes is why we had to create our own caching system. There wasn't anything in Maya that handled that properly.

In Maya 2013, there is Alembic export which works OK.

I have tried to export with Alembic from DMM but receive an error. Is there a workflow for exporting in Alembic yet?
