Being able to isolate a certain part of a mesh, say a building, with a bounding box and only the part of the mesh within the building will be affected by DMM. Which will speed up calculation time as well as allow for smaller details within the effect. So if I want to destroy floors 34-42 or whatever but nothing above or below, I can, and it will only calculate that area.

maybe I should have put this in the Feature Request section, oops sorry.

Hello Darksteps,

Your idea indeed is a very good idea !
We do not have plans for such a feature yet, however we are planning something quite similar (I think), namely "density regions".
Using a bounding box you will be able to define various densities of tetrahedra for DMM objects. This way you will be able to give a low resolution tesslation to the building, and put a density box with a much higher density around the parts that you want to simulate finely.

This feature will be available within 2/3 months (hopefully ;)

yes, that sounds basically like what I'm talking about, that's good to know that it is in the works.

Thank you
